The Department of Computer Science will host “Data Equity and Access in Milwaukee” on Thursday, Nov. 19, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. via Zoom.
Through a panel discussion and breakout sessions, the event will focus on the use of publicly accessible civic databases in Milwaukee and the barriers preventing community organizations from accessing and using these data.
Participants will explore potential opportunities for collaboration between Marquette and the Milwaukee community to overcome these barriers, promote data equity and use the data for community empowerment.
Register via Zoom.
This event is co-organized by Marquette’s Department of Computer Science, The Milky Way Tech Hub, MB Collab, Data You Can Use and Code for Milwaukee.
