In addition to the various health and safety measures already in place to mitigate the risk of COVID-19, and out of concern for our campus community, all faculty, staff and students will be required to answer a series of daily screening questions prior to coming to campus using an online tool called “COVID Cheq.” The tool will also be utilized to help with contact tracing.
WATCH: What is COVID Cheq?
COVID Cheq is a web-based tool powered by Qualtrics. It asks a series of questions related to COVID-19 intended to determine if you have symptoms of or may have been recently exposed to COVID-19.
Per the university’s Step 4 processes, all faculty, staff and students who will be on campus in the fall will be required to complete COVID Cheq daily. Your cooperation in answering the daily questionnaire will help reduce the spread of COVID-19 on Marquette’s campus.
The expectation is that everyone who is routinely on campus this semester must complete it each day, seven days a week; only those who are working remote or students living remote would be exempt. If you have been opted out of the daily COVID Cheq screening and will not be receiving the daily email or text, the COVID Cheq Day Pass will allow you to take the screening to obtain a clearance to visit campus.
You will receive an email with a link to the COVID Cheq survey each day. You should complete the screening before coming to campus.
Those who do not have a smart phone or computer at home can complete the screening using a Marquette computer as soon as you arrive on campus. More information for those without a home computer/internet/printer/smart device.
Please note: If you are in the clinical setting and wearing appropriate PPE per clinical site guidelines, this is not considered an exposure. Please answer NO to the final two questions regarding close contact with someone with COVID diagnosis or symptoms in the last 14 days.
More information and a series of frequently asked questions about COVID Cheq is available on Marquette’s coronavirus website.
