Thanksgiving dinner to celebrate International Education Week

Annual gathering brings international students from across the globe into the same room to share a meal and celebrate the experiences they bring to Marquette

International Education Week (IEW) celebrates the benefits of international education and cultural exchange worldwide. In that spirit, Marquette invites international students to share a meal and an evening of connection at its annual Thanksgiving Dinner Party in the Alumni Memorial Union’s Lunda Room on Friday, November 20, 2026 from 5 to 7 p.m. The gathering offers an opportunity to celebrate the experiences and perspectives international students bring to campus and express gratitude for the global community they help build.

For students spending holiday seasons far from family and familiar traditions, a shared table can offer a sense of home. This Thanksgiving dinner is an opportunity to meet fellow students, spend time in gratitude with friends and feel welcomed by traditions that can cross cultural borders. Our Marquette community is thankful for the perspectives, experiences and relationships our international students bring to campus.

International students are invited to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal featuring a hot buffet with both meat and vegetarian options. While no registration is required, attendees are encouraged to complete the interest form to help organizers plan accordingly.
