Not sure how to start a conversation with a professional, or which careers are even out there? The Institute for Women’s Leadership invites you to Skip the Small Talk on Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the 707 Hub. Skip the Small Talk is a student-led speed networking event hosted by the Institute for Women’s Leadership that brings together students, faculty, staff and community leaders from a wide range of fields.
In short, rotating table conversations, you’ll get straight to the “good stuff”: how these women leaders built their careers, any of the questions you’ve been wanting to ask and real practice networking in a relaxed, supportive setting. No résumé or formal attire is needed, just bring your curiosity.
Whether you’re exploring career paths, building communication skills, or just want to meet people doing work you admire, you’ll leave with new connections and more confidence. A taco bar and refreshments will be provided. All are welcome.
