Join fellow students for Pizza to Pews on Sunday, Oct. 11. After the 6 p.m. Mass at the Church of the Gesu, gather on the second floor of the Alumni Memorial Union near the rotunda to enjoy a slice of pizza and connect with others in the Marquette community.
Students planning to attend should RSVP.
Pizza to Pews is a national movement started by Anthony Gross and Kate DePetro, two friends who decided to get a slice of pizza prior to Mass at St. Joseph’s in New York City’s Greenwich Village. That day has now turned into a widespread movement across the country bringing people together one slice at a time.
Marquette is the first university that Pizza to Pews has officially expanded to. The mission is to provide a space for students to build community, share food and grow in faith.
Upcoming dates for Pizza to Pews will be Sunday, Nov. 1, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the AMU first floor lobby and Sunday, Dec. 6, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the 2nd floor near the rotunda.
Pizza to Pews is sponsored by Campus Ministry and hosted by Hannah Gerwing and Nick Gross.
