Join the Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education for “On the Issues: Underdog: Against All Odds, The Fight for Justice,” on Thursday, Nov. 5, starting at 12:15 p.m. in Eckstein Hall.
Register online in advance to attend. A light lunch will be provided.
The Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education invites all to a conversation with author and former local attorney Thomas Jacobson, who will share remarkable stories from his memoir, “Underdog: Against All Odds, The Fight for Justice.” Hear about his escape from Nazi Germany as a child aboard the ill-fated S.S. St. Louis, his 40-year career in civil rights law, including appearances before the U.S. Supreme Court and his efforts to collect restitution for the families of eleven victims of serial murderer Jeffrey Dahmer. Jacobson’s experiences offer a perspective on pivotal moments in history.
