New mandatory cybersecurity awareness training cycle begins Oct. 19

Marquette’s annual cybersecurity awareness training will launch Monday, Oct. 19, on Adaptive Security, a new platform for faculty and staff.

Launching during Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the training supports the university’s commitment to protecting data, systems and accounts while offering practical guidance for recognizing and responding to common and emerging cyberthreats.

Topics include:

  • Social engineering and phishing (by email, text and voice)
  • Safe browsing
  • Mobile device security
  • Password protection
  • AI-enabled attacks
  • Other ways to protect university and personal information.

All active Marquette faculty and staff must complete the training within 180 days of its launch. On Oct. 19, faculty and staff will receive an email from Adaptive Security at notifications@mail.adaptivesecurity.com with instructions for accessing and completing the training.

For questions about the platform or to report suspicious activity, contact IT Services Information Security at security@marquette.edu.
