The Center for Data Ethics invites faculty, staff, students and community partners to explore questions through Discerning AI, an interdisciplinary community of practice on artificial intelligence grounded in Marquette’s Catholic, Jesuit mission.
Discerning AI brings people together to consider how ethical discernment can guide AI’s use in classrooms, research, campus operations and society. Through conversations, workshops and collaborative projects, participants share experiences, explore ethical questions and develop practical resources that support human dignity and the common good.
Whether you are already using AI, examining its societal impacts or simply curious about what it means for your work, your perspective is welcome. The community offers opportunities to learn from colleagues across disciplines and help shape Marquette’s approach to AI.
Those interested in participating can learn more and sign up online.
Discerning AI is initially funded through an Explorer Challenge from the Office of Research and Innovation.
