The Office of Faculty Affairs and the Jesuit Community invite the Marquette community to an Ignatian Examen centered on the topic of artificial intelligence on Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in AMU 163. This Examen — a Jesuit technique of prayerful reflection — will help us to discern together how we, as individuals and as a community, can respond to the challenges and opportunities that face us as a society in the age of AI. This event will help to listen, to learn and to reflect on how our Catholic, Jesuit values can help us to find our way forward.
Grounded in our mission, our Marquette community strives to be a learning environment where people of diverse backgrounds and perspectives are welcomed and valued. St. Ignatius Loyola’s Examen is an opportunity for peaceful, daily reflective prayer, which invites us to find the movement of God in all the people and events of our day.

The Examen will be facilitatedby members of the Jesuit community, along with faculty and staff. No registration is required; light refreshments will be available. All students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in this free event, supported by the Office of the Provost and Jesuit Community as part of the “What are we building?” initiative.
