Dr. Roda Seseogullari-Dirihan, associate professor and director of the predoctoral program in general dentistry at Marquette University School of Dentistry, has been appointed to the editorial board of Nature Portfolio’s Scientific Reports.
Scientific Reports is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal publishing research across the natural sciences, medicine, engineering and related disciplines. As an Editorial Board Member, Seseogullari-Dirihan will contribute her scientific expertise to the journal’s peer-review process, including evaluating submitted research, selecting expert reviewers and making editorial decisions regarding manuscripts within her areas of expertise.
Seseogullari-Dirihan’s research focuses on dental biomaterials, adhesive dentistry, dentin collagen degradation and stabilization, regenerative approaches for the dentin-pulp complex, and strategies to improve the longevity of restorative dental treatments. Her research has included extensive work on the resin-dentin interface, collagen crosslinking, host-derived proteases and biomimetic approaches to dentin preservation and regeneration.
“This appointment is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the scientific community beyond my own research,” Seseogullari-Dirihan said. “I am honored to join the editorial board of Scientific Reports and look forward to supporting rigorous, ethical and high-quality research while representing Marquette University and the School of Dentistry within the international research community.”
