The use of “Flock cameras” in communities around the state has been in the news recently. What are they? How have they become a law enforcement tool used in both large and small towns and cities in Wisconsin? With an estimated 2,000 cameras in the state, what legal issues should be considered in the usage of such technology?
Melinda Brennan, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Wisconsin; Heather Hough, chief of staff of the Milwaukee Police Department; and Jim Olson, police chief in DeForest, Wisconsin, and 1st vice president, Wisconsin Chiefs of Police Association; will join Lubar Center Director Derek Mosley for a conversation to examine these questions.
