Magnifica Humanitas 1001: Introducing Pope Leo’s New Encyclical for All, Sept. 23

The Offices of Mission and Ministry and Academic Integrity will host an overview of Pope Leo XIV’s first encyclical, “Magnifica Humanitas: On Safeguarding the Human Person in the Time of Artificial Intelligence,” on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 3:30 p.m. in the Raynor Library Beaumier Suites.

This accessible introduction will cover the main points of the encyclical and explore its implications for Marquette.

The panel will feature:

  • Rev. T. Michael McNulty, S.J., college chaplain and instructor of practice in the College of Business Administration
  • Dr. Stephen Pluhacek, affiliated faculty member of theology in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences
  • Rev. Jim Pribek, S.J., acting vice president for mission and ministry
  • Dr. Jacob Riyeff, teaching associate professor of English in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences
  • Dr. Kate Ward, associate professor of theology in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences
