The Haggerty Museum of Art will host a lunchtime gallery talk featuring the current Haggerty exhibition “Iké Udé: Sartorial Anarchy” with Prof. Felicia Caponigri, assistant professor at Marquette University Law School, on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at noon.
Caponigri will connect themes from her own research on fashion, color and trademark law with the complex photographic work of Iké Udé and his vocabulary of fashion and self-representation. “Iké Udé: Sartorial Anarchy” is part of the fall semester exhibitions titled “The Otherworld is Home,” which explores themes of personal reclamation, cultural identity, spiritual passage and connection across Africa’s many diasporas.
