Lace up your shoes and join the Marquette community during Family Weekend for the LOVELLSTRONG Legacy Run/Walk on Saturday, Sept. 26. Join alumni, parents, students and friends in the heart of campus to run, jog or walk the 5K route as we celebrate the legacy of Dr. Michael R. Lovell.
The LOVELLSTRONG Legacy Run/Walks are a series that take place across the nation to honor late President Michael R. Lovell and celebrate his strength, spirit and deep love for the Marquette community — as well as his passion for running and commitment to wellness. In addition to this fall offering in conjunction with Family Weekend, LOVELLSTRONG Legacy Run/Walks are offered during Alumni Reunion Weekend, the Men’s Big East Basketball Tournament in New York and as part of programming surrounding the Marquette vs. Georgetown men’s basketball game in Washington, D.C.
The campus run on Sept. 26 begins and ends at St. Joan of Arc Chapel, following the Marquette Mile in the heart of campus. The event will kick-off with brief remarks at 9 a.m. in the Gratitude Garden outside the chapel. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.
Faculty and staff are asked to pre-register. Students can register through the Family Weekend Eventbrite site.
