Excellence in Leadership (E-Lead) Program applications open

The Excellence in Leadership (E-Lead) Program is accepting applications from second-year students across campus to begin the program in spring 2027.

Applications are available online and are due by noon on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2026.

E-Lead is a three-year curricular program for undergraduate students across all disciplines at Marquette who are interested in learning how to lead innovation. Students earn academic credits as they progress through each year of the curriculum, which culminates in a Concentration in Innovation Leadership.

Sophomore students who are considering applying to the E-Lead Program are strongly encouraged to attend an information session:

  • Thursday, September 17 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. (Haggerty Hall 499)
  • Monday, September 21 from 4:00-5:00 p.m. (O’Brien Hall 417)
  • Tuesday, September 29 from 4:00-5:00 p.m. (Haggerty Hall 499)

E-Lead welcomes Marquette students from any discipline who are in their second year and are in good standing at the university to apply.

Offered through the Fotsch Innovation and Engineering Leadership Development (FIELD) Center, E-Lead is designed to help students develop their capacity to lead in service of others with an emphasis on innovation, developing meaningful new solutions to existing problems in a way that creates real value and positive change.

Faculty and staff nominations

Marquette colleagues are encouraged to nominate sophomore students to apply for E-Lead. A personal recommendation or encouragement from a faculty or staff member can help students recognize their own leadership potential and take the next step.

Nominations can be shared via email to Andrew BoddySpargo (andrew.boddyspargo@marquette.edu) or through this online form.
