University Staff Senate announces election results for 2026-27 

Four staff members were elected or re-elected to University Staff Senate and will serve a three-year term beginning this summer. 

  • Debbie Conterras-Tadych, psychologist and diversity coordinator in the Counseling Center 
  • Emily Hernandez, accounts payable supervisor in the Office of the Comptroller and Graduate Program 
  • Lizzie Kerrick, director of Graduate School operations 
  • Rachel Novak, Marquette Central adviser lead 

Kate Bracciano, director of admissions visits and special programs in Undergraduate Admissions, was elected to represent staff for a three-year term as a member of University Academic Senate. 

Four members of Staff Senate were elected to officer positions. Officers serve a one-year term with a consecutive three-year maximum. 

  • Chair: Jack Goods, communication specialist in the Office of Marketing and Communication 
  • Vice chair: Courtney Johnson-Paez, administrative assistant II in the Center for Teaching and Learning 
  • Treasurer: Rachel Novak, Marquette Central adviser lead 
  • Secretary: Eric Foley, assistant director for domestic and international student enrollment in Undergraduate Admissions 

The University Staff Senate is a group of elected individuals who represent Marquette University staff so that their views and interests may be considered, alongside those of faculty and students, in the conduct of institutional affairs that affect life in the workplace and in the advancement of the university’s mission.
