Six members of the Marquette community will be honored for exemplifying the university’s mission of excellence, faith, leadership and service at the 2026 Excellence in University Service and Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion Awards Luncheon on Thursday, May 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the AMU Monaghan Ballrooms.

This year’s honorees are:
Excellence in University Service Award
- Maria Cooper, administrative assistant in the Honors Program
- Erin Folstad, director of project planning and development in Research and Sponsored Programs
- Courtney Hanson, director of career services in the Career Center
- Don Hertz, manager of technical services in the College of Communication
- Karen Parr, creative director in Marketing and Communication
Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion Award
Marquette’s Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion Award was established to recognize one faculty member and one staff member who demonstrate exemplary leadership and have shown an ability to put the ideals of diversity, equity and inclusion into practical action.
The 2026 Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion Staff Award winner is Emily Raclaw, director of the On Your Marq neurodiversity support program in Disability Services.
