Just in time for Commencement weekend, new Marquette letters have been installed at the corner of 12th Street and Wisconsin Avenue, creating a welcoming new visual landmark at one of the university’s most prominent campus gateways.
The installation is designed to activate the corner at the heart of campus, offering a warm welcome to visitors and a highly visible photo opportunity for graduating students and their families, as well as prospective students and families entering Zilber Hall for campus tours.
Located along a major east-west corridor into downtown Milwaukee, the corner of 12th Street and Wisconsin Avenue sees an estimated 11,000 vehicles pass through daily, according to Wisconsin Department of Transportation traffic counts. The Marquette letters increase brand visibility at an intersection traveled regularly by campus community members, visitors and commuters alike.
The letters contribute to ongoing efforts to enhance campus wayfinding and create recognizable landmarks that reflect Marquette’s identity and sense of place.
Graduates, families and visitors are encouraged to stop by the new installation to capture photos and experience one of the newest experiential branding additions to campus.
