Marquette Nursing faculty and students represented the university at the 50th annual Midwest Nursing Research Society conference in St. Louis from March 30 to April 2. Seventeen Marquette representatives presented research.
“We are proud to have a large group traveling to this conference with the opportunity to spotlight the important research of our faculty” said Dr. Jill Guttormson, dean of the College of Nursing. “The number of students presenting at the highlights the growth of student opportunity in research from BSN to Ph.D. in the college.”
In addition to faculty and students presenting their research, Dr. Richard Fehring, professor emeritus, was part of the final keynote panel, titled “50 Years Forward: Reflections From Nurse Leaders to Shape Nursing Science.” Dr. Fehring has made extensive contributions to nursing science and to MNRS throughout his career.
