Marquette will celebrate Global Advising Week from Monday, April 27, to Friday, May 1, recognizing the more than 500 academic advisers who support undergraduate students across the university.
Advising at Marquette reflects a shared commitment to student success, with advising responsibilities carried out by approximately 75 staff advisers and 425 faculty advisers. While advising models vary by college and discipline, advisers across campus play a central role in helping students navigate academic planning, connect with resources and achieve their personal and professional goals.
“Our advisers are incredible! They truly change the lives of our students,” said Nicolle Skoien, associate director of undergraduate advising. “I am continually amazed by the care, commitment, and sheer volume of work they take on each day as they support students in meaningful and lasting ways. Their dedication reflects the very best of Marquette.”
Global Advising Week offers an opportunity for the university community to recognize the impact advisers have on students and to celebrate the ongoing work that supports student learning, well-being and success.
