Steve Frieder, senior advisor to the president and corporate secretary, was honored with the National Association of Presidential Assistants in Higher Education Award for Distinguished Service at the organization’s annual conference earlier this March.
The honor recognizes the significant personal and professional contributions made to NAPAHE by an individual. The award is presented to a member of NAPAHE whose dedicated service has improved and enhanced the presence of the organization in the higher education community.
A nominator wrote, “Steve’s career defines the purpose of this award: recognizing exemplary service, mentorship, strategic leadership, and support for higher education leaders. Speaking personally, Steve’s dry humor, his calm, and his unfailing respect for others added enjoyment and value every time.”
