New Campus Companions initiative fosters meaningful faculty-staff relationships

Faculty and staff are invited to participate in Campus Companions, a new initiative designed to foster meaningful relationships across the university. Inspired by this year’s Ignatian theme, “I Have Called You Friends,” Campus Companions pairs one faculty member and one staff member — or, if preferred, forms a small group — for a free meal, offering time and space to learn about each other’s work, share stories, spark collaboration and strengthen our Marquette community.

Participants will be matched this spring and encouraged to meet at a campus dining location at their convenience. The program will culminate in a shared meal at the end of the semester, where companions can gather, connect and reflect on the experience together.

Register online.

Campus Companions, sponsored by the Office of the Provost, embodies our Ignatian call to friendship — creating opportunities to see one another more fully, listen more deeply and build a campus culture rooted in cura personalis.
