The Campus Climate final report is now available on the Campus Climate Study website (campus access or VPN required). The report outlines background on the Campus Climate Study, an overview of post-survey engagement, key takeaways from action items proposed by focus groups and commitments to action as part of the Marquette 2031 Strategic Plan.
The report highlights four institutional commitments to further cultivate a respectful, welcoming and mission-centered environment where all students, faculty and staff can thrive: (1) building trust, (2) investing in our community of faculty and staff, (3) helping every student thrive and (4) strengthening accountability across all leadership levels.
These commitments have been endorsed by the University Executive Leadership Team — comprising President Kimo Ah Yun, Acting Provost Sarah Feldner and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Joel Pogodzinski — who have asked all University Leadership Council members to incorporate these commitments in their work this year.
The four commitments will also be advanced through two major initiatives that are part of Strategic Plan 2031: Student Belonging and Well-Being and Employee Belonging and Well-Being. These initiatives will translate climate insights into measurable improvements in culture, communication, professional growth, student support and overall community flourishing. Through sustained attention and coordinated action, Marquette aims to cultivate a campus environment where every member feels valued, supported and able to live out the university’s Jesuit mission.
The 2025 Campus Climate Study, the university’s third, measured perceptions of Marquette’s culture and its effect on community members’ sense of well-being, as well as the extent that all feel like they belong, are respected and are valued regardless of identity. The 2025 survey was made available to students, faculty and staff from Feb. 11 to March 21.
Future updates on progress will be included in Strategic Plan communications. More information, including the executive summary and interactive dashboards, is available on the Campus Climate Study website.
