Les Aspin Center semester themes announced

At the Les Aspin Center for Government, Marquette’s campus in Washington, D.C., classroom learning takes place in the heart of our nation’s capital. Whether you’re passionate about public service or simply curious about the fast-paced world of policy, media, law or national leadership, the Aspin Center offers unmatched opportunities to grow academically, professionally and personally.

Students can now plan their Aspin journeys around semester-specific academic themes that are designed to deepen their learning, shape special course offerings, and bring alumni and experts right into the classroom.

While these themes enhance the student experience, every semester invites students from all majors and interests. With support from Aspin Center staff and alumni networks, students find internships tailored to their individual career goals and interests.

If a theme sparks your interest, start planning early by talking to your academic advisor and applying as soon as you’re ready — spots fill up fast, and some themes (like spring 2026) are already full.
