The Center for Peacemaking will host a book launch celebration and conversation with Dr. Gabriel Velez, associate professor of educational policy and leadership in the College of Education, on Thursday, Nov. 20, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in AMU 163. His new book, “Making Meaning of Justice and Peace: A Developmental Lens,” explores how young people understand and act on ideas of justice and peace.
Mary Triggiano, director of the Andrew Center for Restorative Justice, will interview Velez about his research on youth identity, peacebuilding and restorative justice.
