Marquette Volunteer Corps offers students a semester-long opportunity to serve with purpose, build meaningful relationships and grow as leaders committed to justice. Through weekly service with local Milwaukee nonprofits, students connect with community members, strengthen bonds with fellow peers and engage in thoughtful reflection that deepens their understanding of social issues.
MVC empowers students to develop essential, transferable skills that benefit any career path. Many past participants share that MVC was a transformative experience — one that helped them grow personally, broaden their perspectives and become active agents of social justice.
Students serve in teams of five to seven, volunteering together each week throughout the semester. MVC partners with organizations focused on health, literacy, education and food insecurity. Community partners include NourishMKE, City on a Hill, SEA Literacy and the American Red Cross — giving students multiple avenues to make a meaningful impact while learning more about Milwaukee and themselves.
Transportation is provided.
