Marquette students, staff and faculty are invited to join Dr. Lindsay Daigle’s HOPR 1955H “Invisibility and Power” class for a screening and discussion of the 2020 Netflix documentary, “Disclosure: Trans Lives on Screen,” on Tuesday, Oct. 28, in the Raynor Library Beaumier Suites. The screening will begin at 3:30 p.m. and will be followed by a brief discussion. Goals of this event include:
- To listen to a multiplicity of voices who have first-hand experience with contemporary issues
- To engage with media designed to provide critical insight
- To gain a fuller understanding of how film and TV media have historically represented transgender characters
