New members named to Innovation Council 

Nine new members have been added to the university’s Innovation Council, Vice President for Research and Innovation Dr. Jeanne Hossenlopp announced. 

The council is charged with developing and implementing the application process for the Explorer Challenge 2.0, formerly known as the Strategic Innovation Fund. The cross-campus, interdisciplinary group will initially review and provide feedback on project pre-proposals and final proposals. 

The new members follow:

  • Fikiri Deogratias, MBA and Ph.D. student 
  • Jack Goods, Office of Marketing and Communication 
  • Dr. Shengtong Han, Marquette University School of Dentistry 
  • Sarah Kluth, graduate student 
  • Dr. Nil Lodh, College of Health Sciences  
  • Blake Ward, Information Technology Services 
  • John Wright, College of Business Administration  

They join these existing Innovation Council members:

The Innovation Council meets monthly during the academic year. Responsibilities include:  

  • Reviewing and editing the application process for the Explorer Challenge 2.0  
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on project proposals, including staffing office hours and workshops  
  • Participating as a judge during the Explorer Challenge 2.0 pitch competition in the spring
