Dean of Students Erin Gannon will host a discussion of Jonathan Haidt’s “The Anxious Generation: How the Great Rewiring of Childhood Is Causing an Epidemic of Mental Illness,” on Friday, Dec. 5, at 9 a.m. at a location to be determined. The book explores the impact of technology, social media and cultural shifts on the mental health and development of young people.
Through small-group discussions, participants will have the opportunity to reflect, share perspectives and consider how these themes appear in daily life, communities and the campus environment. All students, faculty and staff are welcome, and the first 25 individuals to sign up will receive a copy of the book.
