Student honored with St. John Paul II Award for Youth and Young Adult Leadership 

Nicholas Gross, a sophomore studying journalism in the Diederich College of Communication, will be honored with the St. John Paul II Award for Youth and Young Adult Leadership at the Archdiocese of Milwaukee’s Vatican II Awards. 

At Marquette, Gross serves as a retreat leader, works with Midnight Run, leads men’s Bible study and is part of the Marquette chapter of the Knights of Columbus. A full biography, as well as a short Q&A, is available in the Catholic Herald

The Archdiocese of Milwaukee established the Vatican II Awards in 1991 to honor men, women and young adults who exemplify the Catholic Church’s vision set forth in the Second Vatican Council. 

Fifteen will be honored on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist (812 N. Jackson St.). All are welcome. The event will also be livestreamed on the Cathedral’s YouTube channel
