The Institute for Women’s Leadership, in collaboration with the Lemonis Center for Student Success, the Office of Inclusion and Belonging and the Career Center, will host “Real Talk, Real Connections: Networking for Introverts in Action” with Jazmynn Appleton on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 1 p.m. in the Lemonis Center for Student Success.
If you’ve ever felt like networking just isn’t for you, you’re not alone and you’re not wrong for wanting something that feels real. This workshop was designed with that in mind. You don’t have to be loud to be seen, and you don’t have to change who you are to connect with others.
What you can expect:
- A welcoming, low-pressure space where introverts and first-gen students can feel comfortable practicing connection-building
- Simple, personal strategies that actually work because they’re based on how you naturally show up
- Real-time practice with support, encouragement and feedback
- A moment to reflect on your goals and leave with a sense of direction
You’ll leave feeling more prepared, more capable and more confident — because this isn’t about perfection, it’s about progress. And it starts by simply showing up.
This free event is open to all students, alumnae and community members who want to lead, speak up and help build something better. We create welcoming spaces designed to include voices that are often overlooked — while following all federal non-discrimination laws.
Registration is required. Register online.
Light food and refreshments will be provided.
