New mandatory cybersecurity awareness training cycle begins Oct. 1

Wednesday, Oct. 1, marks the start of the new cybersecurity awareness training cycle, offered through a partnership between IT Services, the SANS Institute and Litmos. The updated content coincides with the beginning of Cybersecurity Awareness Month.

The platform provides tips on protecting data, devices and accounts. Key topics include recognizing social engineering, safe browsing, mobile security and creating strong passwords.

All active Marquette faculty and staff must complete the training within 60 days. Participants can access the modules online by logging in with their Marquette username and password, then selecting the “Cybersecurity Awareness 2025” tile under “My Training.”

Email notifications regarding the training will be sent.

Questions about the platform or reports of suspicious activity can be directed to IT Services Information Security at security@marquette.edu
