The Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education at Marquette University Law School will host a Hispanic Heritage Tasting Dinner on Monday, Oct. 6, at The Ivy House (906 S. Barclay St.).
Lubar Center Director Derek Mosley and Forward Latino will highlight the history of Mexican, Brazilian, Cuban, Venezuelan and Peruvian food cultures in American cuisine. Local chefs will prepare dishes for guests to enjoy while learning and socializing.
Doors open at 5 p.m., and the program begins at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $40 per person. While a vegetarian option will be available, individual dietary restrictions cannot be accommodated.
