Join alumni, parents, students and friends in the heart of campus to run, jog or walk a 5K route as we remember men’s lacrosse players Noah Snyder and Scott Michaud, along with late President Michael R. Lovell, at the LOVELLSTRONG Legacy Run on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 9 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Chapel.
LOVELLSTRONG represents the way Marquette shows up for each other. Those wishing to make a gift in conjunction with the LOVELLSTRONG Run/Walk are encouraged to consider supporting the men’s lacrosse program in memory of Noah and Scott.
LOVELLSTRONG Run/Walks take place across the nation to honor President Lovell and celebrate his strength, spirit and deep love for the Marquette community — as well as his passion for running and commitment to wellness. In addition to this fall offering in conjunction with Family Weekend, LOVELLSTRONG Run/Walks are offered during Alumni Reunion Weekend, the men’s basketball Big East Tournament in New York City and as part of programming surrounding the Marquette vs. Georgetown men’s basketball game in Washington, D.C.
The Marquette men’s lacrosse program was instrumental in starting the LOVELLSTRONG Run/Walk when President Lovell was first diagnosed with sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. The tradition lives on because of the heart and care of these student-athletes.
The run will kick off with brief remarks in the Gratitude Garden outside the St. Joan of Arc Chapel. The run route begins and ends at the St. Joan of Arc Chapel and will follow along the Marquette Mile in the heart of campus.
Participants are asked to arrive for check in by 8:45 a.m. Faculty and staff should register online.
