The Marquette Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band Concert will play its annual Family Weekend concert on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. in the Varsity Theatre. The concert is free and open to the public. No tickets are required.
Marquette’s wind ensemble performers four major concerts each year and hosts a nationally or internationally known solo artist each February. Dr. Erik Janners, Marquette’s director of music, conducts the ensemble.
The symphonic band performs three major concerts each year and is open to all Marquette wind and percussion players. Dr. Joel Flunker, assistant director of instrumental music, conducts the symphonic band.
