
The Department of Political Science’s Civic Dialogues program will host an expert dialogue on U.S. citizenship with Dr. Anna Law on Thursday, Oct. 2, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Sensenbrenner Hall 304.
Law will give a brief talk on historical and contemporary issues in U.S. immigration, followed by an interactive Q&A. Dinner will be served.
Law is the Herbert Kurz Chair in Constitutional Rights in the Department of Political Science at CUNY Brooklyn College. Her first book, “The Immigration Battle in American Courts” (Cambridge University Press 2010), examined the role of the federal judiciary in U.S. immigration. She teaches and researches in U.S. constitutional law, federal courts, U.S. immigration policy history, federalism, American Political Development, and race/ethnicity.
