Diederich College of Communication screening with leadership guru Cy Wakeman, Sept. 25 

The Diederich College of Communication will host a screening of a session with New York Times best-selling author and leadership guru Cy Wakeman on Thursday, Sept. 25, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Johnston Hall screening room. She will speak on “Fearless Leadership: Embracing Discomfort and Accountability to Achieve Greatness.” 

The pop-up event will be held in partnership with the Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations, an organization dedicated to empowering and uplifting the next generation of leaders in PR. Wakeman will share her insights live from the University of Alabama.

Wakeman is a drama researcher, international leadership speaker and consultant. In 2001 she founded Reality-Based Leadership, a professional training and coaching company which provides live and virtual training solutions.
