As the fall semester begins, the Graduate Student Organization is giving Marquette’s graduate and professional students a warm — and lively — welcome back to campus.
The GSO will host its annual Welcome Back Social on Friday, Sept. 5, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the 707 Hub. The event aims to foster connection, collaboration, and community among new and returning graduate students.
“Graduate school isn’t just about coursework and research — it’s also about finding your people,” GSO President Sumaiya Chowdhury said. “We want to create opportunities for students to connect, recharge and build friendships that last well beyond their time here.”
The event will feature a mix of games, trivia and interactive activities designed to get students talking, laughing and sharing ideas across disciplines.
GSO encourages all graduate students to attend and take part in what has become a favorite tradition for kicking off the academic year.
