This fall, the Office of International Education at Marquette University is offering an opportunity for students to receive financial support toward obtaining a U.S. passport. Through the Institute of International Education American Passport Project, up to 25 students will be awarded $165 grants to cover the cost of applying for a U.S. passport.
To qualify for the grant, students must:
- Be a U.S. citizen eligible to receive a passport
- Be 18 years or older
- Be enrolled at Marquette University
- Be considered low-income based on FAFSA data
- Preference will be given to students who:
- Intend to study abroad through Marquette University
- Are in their first year (freshman or transfer)
- Have never held an adult U.S. passport
- Are Pell Grant eligible
- Are majoring or minoring in a language or STEM-related field
