August is National Wellness Month. This month is meant to encourage people to prioritize self-care, build healthy routines and support their overall well-being. Those who invest in their well-being are found to be better equipped to handle stress, maintain relationships and perform at their best.
The university’s employee wellness program aims to support employee wellness in four key areas of wellness – emotional, financial, physical and spiritual. Just some of the free wellness resources that Marquette employees have available to them include:

- My Wellness portal – the hub for participation in the My Wellness program that houses numerous wellness resources, including wellness webinars and videos, a health risk assessment, a wellbeing blog, behavioral health support resources, and the health coaching program
- Health coaching – 17 different free 1:1 health coaching programs available to employees and their spouses
- Employee Wellness Center – a free wellness space dedicated to faculty and staff located in Coughlin Hall that includes cardio, agility, flexibility and free weight equipment
- Financial planning benefit through Francis LLC – employees can meet in-person or virtually with a financial planner to discuss a variety of money matters including debt management, increasing savings, tax strategies, planning for retirement and more; spouses and partners are welcome to join
