Individual entry and exit lanes will be closed during a hardware update in Structure 1 and Eckstein Hall from Tuesday, July 29, through Friday, Aug. 1. Please be observant and proceed with caution when entering and exiting the structures.
There will always be at least one entry and exit lane open in Structure 1 while work is being completed. Structure 2 remains closed for long-term repairs.
The hardware update will not affect how permit holders enter and exit, but will impact visitors parking in the structures:
- When visitors enter, they will push the button to pull a ticket. Upon exit, instead of inserting the ticket into the machine, they will scan a QR code and be prompted to make payment. If they have a validated ticket, they will scan the QR located on the validated ticket to make payment.
- Pay-on-foot stations will be removed from Structure 1 and 2 lobbies in early August.
- Parking Services will also implement a process for visitors to pay via their phone in early August. Before exiting, visitors will be able to use the camera on their phone to scan the QR code on their ticket and open a secure website to complete payment. Those who pay via their phone will scan the QR code on the ticket when exiting.
- If someone pays via phone and then parks overnight, if they do not make the additional payment online before exiting, they will be prompted to pay the balance out to exit.
