Marquette University mourns the loss of Dr. Virginia A. Chappell, professor emerita of English in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, who died on Saturday, July 12. She was 81.
Virginia taught at Marquette from 1988 to 2013. She was promoted to emerita status in June of 2013.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Aug. 7, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s on the Lake (1840 N. Prospect St.).
