Marquette Business has named Dr. Andrew Meyer as the new associate dean of the Graduate School of Management. Meyer has been with Marquette University for 11 years and has spent the last two years as the chair of the economics department.

My predecessors in this role have done essential work in helping faculty, staff and students advance that mission. I look forward to building on our solid foundation and collaborating with my excellent colleagues to refine and grow our programs.”
The position change took effect on July 1. Meyer is replacing Karen Rinehart, who departed from the university in May.
Meyer received his Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and he received his bachelor’s degree in international management from Gustavus Adolphus College. Prior to joining Marquette, Dr. Meyer worked as an assistant professor at Ohio Wesleyan University.
Meyer’s research interests include environmental and natural resource economics, behavioral economics and education economics. His recent research focuses on agricultural and nonpoint source water pollution policies and the ways in which economics, politics and media interact to influence policy outcomes. . He has been published more than 20 times in prominent economics journals such as Journal of Public Economics, Journal of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists, and Journal of Environmental Economics and Management.

The Graduate School of Management houses several nationally recognized programs. U.S. News and World Report ranks Marquette’s part-time MBA program 49th in the country, up 24 spots from the prior year. Six MBA specialties—accounting, business analytics, finance, management, marketing and supply chain—also ranked in the top 20 nationally. Marquette’s Executive MBA program is ranked No. 16 nationally by U.S. News and World Report and No. 31 by Fortune Magazine.
In 2023-24, 95 percent of graduates from the Graduate School of Management were employed, continuing their education or in the military within six months of Commencement. The median salary for those who graduated with full-time employment is $80,000.
