Celebrate the 75th anniversary of “Summer Stock,” the 1950 MGM musical starring Judy Garland and Gene Kelly, with a screening in its original 35mm format on Wednesday, July 16, at the historic Oriental Theater on Milwaukee’s East Side.
The event will feature a book signing and talkback with the authors of the book, “C’mon, Get Happy: The Making of Summer Stock,” David Fantle, adjunct professor at the Diederich College of Communication, and Tom Johnson.
A book signing will begin at 5:30 p.m., with the film screening to follow at 6:30 p.m.
