The National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU) and the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU) are currently lobbying against a budget reconciliation bill in the U.S. House of Representatives that proposes $349.1 billion in cuts over 10 years from higher education and will reduce access to Pell Grants and student loans for undergraduate and graduate students. Marquette is a member institution of both organizations.
For more information on the bill and its effects, or if you would like to advocate for federal aid for higher education, more information is available from the Student Aid Alliance, a coalition of over 40 higher education organizations, including NAICU.
