Marquette Business has hired Stacy Tolomeo as the new director of the Business Career Center. Tolomeo succeeds Hannah Lubar in the role.
“I’m thrilled to take on a new challenge that will allow me to use the connections and skills I’ve developed over my extensive career to help students,” Tolomeo said. “Marquette Business has a long history of educating resilient, purpose-driven agents of change and I hope to play an important role in that mission.”
Tolomeo comes to Marquette from Concordia University-Wisconsin, where she was assistant director of industry relations. While there, Tolomeo led a team of career and peer advisers that served more than 6,200 students and 30,000 alumni. Prior to her time in higher education, Tolomeo held high-level jobs in multiple industries, most recently as vice president of retail and client experience at Partnership Bank in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.
Tolomeo obtained her bachelor’s degree from Fordham University and her MBA from Concordia.
The Marquette Business Career Center provides professional support to nearly 2,000 students, including but not limited to resume help, interview preparation, internship placement and career counseling. The BCC also administers a mentor program that pairs more than 300 students and professionals each year. Marquette Business is the only college at the university with a dedicated career center.
