The final deadline for applications to study, intern and live in Washington, D.C., at the Les Aspin Center for Government is Monday, May 5, at 11:59 p.m.
The Les Aspin Center for Government provides academic and internship programming focused on the public policy-making process. The Les Aspin Center for Government facilitates varied internship placements for academic credit and a new flexible curriculum offered each fall, spring and summer semester. Students from all majors are welcome to apply.
Fall 2025’s theme is business, finance and the economy. In addition to the required classes, all students will choose at least five, and up to 12, elective credits from the following:
- Full semester electives (15 weeks)
- POSC 4932-101: Business Communication (3 credits)
- POSC 4932-102/BUAD 9390: State Litigation and Policy Change (3 credits)
- Aspin Short Courses (5 weeks, each with different starting times throughout the semester):
- POSC 4932-103/BUAD 9390: Procurement and Spend Management (1 credit)
- POSC 4932-104/BUAD 9390: Strategic Program Design & Management (1 credit)
- POSC 4932-105/BUAD 9390: Sales & Business Development (1 credit)
- POSC 4932-106/BUAD 9390: Combating Illicit Finance: The Role of Banks and Government (1 credit)
- POSC 4932-107: Corporate Political Influence (1 credit)
- POSC 4932-108: Climate Strategies and Politics (1 credit)
