Marquette nurses attend Building Bridges Conference

A group of faculty and students from Marquette presented their research at the 27th annual Building Bridges Southeastern Wisconsin Nursing Research Conference on April 4. Alverno College hosted the conference.

“I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed being able to learn at this conference, particularly alongside my mentor, Dr. Jessica Zemlak,” said Jayme Aguero, a Ph.D. student in the College of Nursing.

The theme of this year’s conference was “Better Together: The Power of Collaboration and Connection.” Twenty-eight podium presentations and more than 50 poster presentations throughout the day touched on subjects ranging from nursing research to quality improvement to evidence-based practice.

“I think presenting there gave me a lot of confidence, especially as an emerging researcher,” Aguero said. “I got to do a podium presentation where I walked an audience through a whole study, and that’s one of the best parts of research to me; getting to share the results.”

A full list of Marquette research presentations can be found below. Marquette students and faculty also recently presented at the Midwest Nursing Research Society Conference.
