Discussion on climate action tactics and strategies to build resilience in the classroom, April 9

The Center for Teaching and Learning is hosting a discussion on how to develop tactics, strategies and syllabus language about climate action in classrooms on Wednesday, April 9, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Center for Teaching and Learning (Raynor Library 330B) and virtually.

The CTL will provide snacks and drinks. Register online.

Special interest will be paid to a host of pressing issues, including:

  • How to be inclusive toward students being affected by climate change (e.g., through having medications delayed due to global factors beyond their control, psychological effects of climate grief, etc.)
  • Cultivating communities of resilience among students in any discipline
  • Creating inclusive pedagogical methods that are mindful of actions we can take in light of climate change

This workshop will be led by Erin Hastings, a CTL workshop leader for Spring 2025.
