Join Minorities In Tech for an event on digital ethics in Palestine on Monday, April 14, at 5:30 p.m. in O’Brien Hall 305.
Dr. Enya Othman, associate professor of languages, literatures and cultures, and Dr. Jodi Melamed, professor of English, will discuss how technology is used in war zones for surveillance and censorship purposes. They’ll also explore how similar tools are used to reprimand student activists in the U.S. and how students can leverage technology to become more effective advocates.
